Recent Event
The Association held this year's Summer Picnic at St Pauls Wood Park in Morton Grove, IL on Saturday, July 12, 2025. About 70 alumni, their families and friends participated in this joyful event.

This event was co-hosted with Midwest Jilin University Alumni Association and 7 people associated with them participated in the event.

President Zhan Ye gave an opening remark, wherein he welcomed all participants, summarized the Association's events this year, and thanked volunteers who contributed to this event's preparation.

Talented alumni Ms. Wei Peng (Chem E. Class 82) played accordion and Ms. Yingran Zhang (Architecture Class 20) played violin.

Alumni Hong Jia (EE Class 83) and his wife Jie Chen (EE Class 87) introduced their daughter Claire Jia's newly published novel Wanting. Five alumni obtained the new books as door prizes donated by the family.

Participants enjoyed the Chinese buffet lunch. Many families also contributed a variety of food, fruits, snacks, disserts and soft drinks.

Show Your Care and Support
The Association is completely run by alumni volunteers. It welcomes more volunteers like you to carry out programs that fulfill the Association's mission. At the same time, the Association welcomes any monetary donations, large or small in amount, to support these programs. The Association is an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donations may be deductible as a charitable contribution in your tax filing.
